Thank you for stepping up. You're officially part of the SFC Regional Leaders crew, and we're so glad you're here. ⚡
The next few pages walk you through everything you need to get set up. There's no rush, and nothing to memorise. Just take it one step at a time.
This is your go-to place for the tools, resources and links you'll reach for again and again. Everything a Regional Leader needs, gathered in one spot.
Our tip: bookmark it now so it's always a click away.
Every tile links you straight to what you need, from the playbook to the Brand Toolkit. Tap to open the Hub ↗
If you only read one thing to begin with, make it this. The Quickstart Guide walks you through what being a Regional Leader looks like and the first few things worth doing.
There's no need to take it all in at once. Skim it now, then come back to it whenever you like.
Every area is different. In some places you'll be the very first Regional Leader, with a blank page in front of you. In others there may already be a handful, or even a whole crew, quietly getting on with it.
Either way, the best place to start is your local WhatsApp community. The admins are often Regional Leaders or School Organisers, so drop them a friendly hello and ask what the lay of the land is near you: who's already involved, and what's happening so far.
If it's not clear who to speak to, just ask us and we'll share a list of Leaders and School Organisers in your area.
You're part of something much bigger than one town. There are two places we all gather, and they do quite different jobs.
The Leaders Community is where we post announcements for you to pass on to your own groups. This is the one to join right now.
Join the Leaders Community ↗Discord is a free version of something like Slack or Teams, and it's where the SFC magic happens: peer support, fresh ideas, and troubleshooting together. Your personal invitation lands by email soon, so keep an eye out and come say hello when it arrives.
A few times a year we bring Regional Leaders together in person. Some meet-ups are in London, others around the country. Last year we gathered in Birmingham and Leeds.
Look out for polls on dates and places. They're a lovely chance to meet your fellow Leaders from up and down the country, and to swap what's working with people who really get it.
We'll keep you in the loop, and we're always here when you need us.
You're already on the list, and this is the one email to always open. It's got everything you need to stay in the know: campaign highlights, the news that matters, and a profile of our Leader of the Month.
Usually the third Thursday of the month. We'll email the invite a few days before.
Email us at community@smartphonefreechildhood.org and say hello. No question is too small.
Posters, flyers, stickers and badges: everything you need to spread the word in your community. Pop your details in at the shop, add the code below, and you'll only pay postage.
Most importantly, there's no pressure here.
Some Leaders begin small and build slowly. Others go all in from day one. Whatever pace feels right for you is the right pace, and you're already making a difference simply by being here.
We're so glad to have you with us, and we can't wait to see what you build in your community. ⚡
Tick things off as you go. We'll remember where you got to, so you can come back any time.
